I’m just tickled PINK after having the opportunity to attend the 4th Annual PINK IN DECEMBER celebration with publicist April Love! She is one of Atlanta’s premiere entertainment public relations expert and has worked with countless A-list entertainers.
Another remarkable fact: In December of 2009, April Love received a diagnosis that most would consider a death sentence. On Christmas Eve of that year, April was informed that she had Stage 3 breast cancer. I learned this last night and was TRULY inspired by her testimony. TODAY April is in great health and has turned tragedy into triumph. SHE IS A SURVIVOR!!
Pink in December an event that celebrates life… love and survival, was hosted by the lovely Rashan Ali & extraordinaire Satchel Foster. Held at the fabulous Suite Food Lounge in Downtown Atlanta. This year April honored 4 people who make a huge difference in our community and in the world. The honorees included Peter Thomas (Pink Visionary), Greg Cole (Pink Entrepreneur), Shanti Das (Pink Samaritan), and Jay Carter (Pink Changer).
There were so many friends and supporters who came out to celebrate… including gospel recording artist, Darwin Hobbs! I have always LOVED his voice and thought I was going to start shouting when he surprised us with the song, “You Raised Me Up”. YES!!!
The Good Times Brass Band was AMAZING!
It was certainly a pleasure to be part of a wonderful occasion. Enjoy the all the fun pics I snapped 🙂
