Atlanta Cyclorama Presents Dr. Elizabeth Leonard
For A Discussion On Women’s Roles In The Civil War On August 22
Atlanta, GA — “You didn’t misread that headline,” says Camille Russell Love, City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. “Women participated in the Civil War in many more ways than most people realize, some even disguising themselves as men in order to fight. Noted author and historian Dr. Elizabeth D. Leonard is coming to the Atlanta Cyclorama to share some great stories and to talk about her book, All The Daring of the Soldier. Her presentation will be a revelation to most people who think the women of that era were all home cooking and darning socks! If you enjoy learning about history, belong to a book club, or want an interesting “ladies night out,” join us for this FREE event at 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 22.”
