Proceeds to Benefit the Orchestra and Its Education and Community Engagement Programs
The 44th annual Decorators’ Show House & Gardens (DSHG) is going pink at Palazzo Rosa, historically known as the Pink Palace on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead. This year designers, who are both locally and nationally recognized, will showcase their individual talents and design styles while incorporating creative trends in this iconic Atlanta home. The Decorators’ Show House will be open to the public from April 26 – May 18, 2014, and all proceeds benefit the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and its education and community engagement initiatives.
“Having worked on this project for the last seven years, I am continually amazed by the vision our designers bring to Show House year after year. As a society, it is easy for us to fall into complacency, but the DSHG designers strive to shatter the glass wall that separates the public from interior arts. They always deliver a level of sophistication that bridges the gap between luxury and the comfort a modern family requires,” said Brooke Brantley Merrill, the 2014 Decorators’ Show House Chair. “As the Chair Person of the 2014 Decorators’ Show House and Gardens, I am honored to serve them in this pursuit of attainable opulence.”
Palazzo Rosa is a dream for both designers and design enthusiasts. Each room will undergo its own transformation, and Show House guests will be able to interact directly with designers, shop everything design-related while there and bring home a myriad of creative inspiration and ideas.
Tickets will be available beginning Monday, February 17, at decoratorsshowhouse.org. If purchased prior to April 26, tickets are $25.
Beginning April 26, tickets purchased online or at the door will be $30.
Organized by the Atlanta Symphony Associates (ASA), proceeds from the event will support the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and its many influential education and community engagement programs. These programs help to nurture the talent of emerging young musicians and bring music into the lives of the people within the Atlanta community and beyond. the ASO’s Talent Development Program, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, trains and supports gifted, young African American and Latino musicians through private coaching, mentoring, and performances, and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra is a hub for some of the country’s most talented young musicians for nearly 40 years.
Tickets can be purchased online at DecoratorsShowHouse.org.
