Last week, I had a chance to speak one one one with Basketball Wives LA’s own Brittish Williams! It was a fun but challenging interview because I was literally walking through Piedmont Park (on my bare feet/heels in my hands) coming from an event/photo shoot while we spoke. LOL, it’s a long story but… you gotta do what you gotta do to be on time. 🙂
Brittish is the fiancé of international basketball player, Lorenzo Gordon and just concluded her first season of Basketball Wives LA. She came in like a lion and was quickly coined as the “firecracker” or “ratchet” one by cast mates and viewers. Have to admit I haven’t been able to watch much of the show this year due to my photography business, moving and the kiddies… so my focus for the interview was off the cameras 🙂
I asked about her shoe company, Privet (Hello in Russian) Couture Shoes and Love of Labels, an online boutique that has generated over 700k in sales in little over a year. I visited the website and fell in LOVE with her swim suits (especially the ANCHOR).
Brittish: I was inspired while on a trip to Turkey and started my business with the help of my best friend and Lorenzo. He actually helped me with folding and packing. The “high waisted swim” suit was a trend started by Beyonce when she graced the cover of H&M. I worked with manufacturers from Asia, Thailand and Bangkok to present a line that’s appealing to ALL.
Fun times as we met later on that evening at the Sister 2 Sister Ladies Night event. It was great to put a face with a name and she looked fabulous! Brittish: I’m excited to host the event tonight and meet some of the ladies I’ve never met like Kandi Burruss.
Robin: Will there be a second season for you and what did you learn from your first?
Brittish: Yes! I’m only 24 years old with plenty of room to grow. From the show I’ve learned what to say and what not to say. Better to learn now than later… I’m so much better now and want to teach other girls.
Brittish is also working on a campaign that she has enlisted the help of other reality stars to help push such as K. Michelle, Syleena Johnson, Emily B and many more. The campaign is called “CHUBBY.” The campaign will teach young ladies that having curves is ok and you are ok just the way you are. Brittish acquired this idea after Draya (cast mate) called her chubby on the show and countless times in the media.
Brittish is also busy planning a HUGE wedding to her fiancé, Lorenzo Gordon that VH1 has agreed to film for next season.
Sending a HUGE thank you to Brittish and her team. Wishing you continued success!
