Who doesn’t love the Beatles??? I grew up listening to this unforgettable band and will always appreciate their wonderful gift of music.
Someone obviously loves them a little bit more and paid $290.500 for a signed copy of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. It’s pretty cool because all four members, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison & Ringo Starr placed their signature on the cover.
Dallas-based Heritage Auctions says a Midwest collector bidding online purchased the autographed album Saturday. Names of the seller and the buyer have not been made public.
The Beatles signed the album on the gatefold above pictures of their heads. The album included songs such as “With a Little Help from My Friends”, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, and “A Day in the Life”. Heritage originally estimated the 1967 album would sell for around $30,000. Pre-auction bids topped $120,000. -CSMonitor.com
