The Christian View with National Spokesperson Lucia McBath!

Yesterday, I had a chance to go onsite to Atlanta’s TV 57 for a live taping of  The Christian View, a panel of  five delightful women discussing hot topics from a Christian perspective.  It was certainly an eye opener to hear special guest Lucia McBath, a national spokesperson and mother of Jordan Davis.  Jordan was killed by an angry adult armed with a gun because his music was too loud.

A Florida jury convicted Michael Dunn of first-degree murder giving Lucia McBath justice for her son… and she continues the fight to amend the “Stand Your Ground” gun laws across the country (especially FL).  She also joined organizations such as the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America” to help others in their campaign for gun safety.

I was astonished to learn Jackie Carpenter (TCV Host) and Lucia shared heartbreaking experiences with their sons.  The movie “Stand Your Ground” was based on Jackie’s son Jason, who was falsely accused of murder and she also fought against the odds.  What a powerful panel discussion for the show! The ladies gave us so much insight as they touched on these tough issues and placed a strong emphasis on faith & Christianity.

There were light & funny moments as well!  The ladies of TCV reminded me of The Viewa daily talk show I DON’T miss.  Jackie, Alisa, Rebecca, Dawn, Ann and Lucia were speaking about community efforts & uncommon laws that I never knew existed. For example: You can be arrested for chewing regular gum in some places.  Did you know this?!?!  I’m heading back to the books to see all the laws I’m breaking (unknowingly). 🙂

Sending a very special thanks to Alisa Boykin for the invite.  I truly enjoyed the experience.

You can watch The Christian View Tuesdays at 9am on WATC !
