The ESSENCE Festival, as chronicled in the New York Times, “has been an important event in non-hip-hop black pop for an entire generation.” Today, the Festival reaches more than 543,000 consumers across the 4-day weekend — featuring a unique slate of on-site collaborations with the world’s most influential marketers that deliver unmatched consumer experiences and engagement.
In honor of the Festival’s 20th anniversary, ESSENCE has expanded its daytime programming through Empower U, an exciting new series of free workshops with experts in key life topics such as Money & Power, Healthy Living, Love & Relationships, Style & Beauty, and Education.
“Working collaboratively with our partners, ESSENCE continues to innovate our daytime experiences as a powerful complement to the Festival’s renowned free empowerment and cultural offerings,” said ESSENCE President Michelle Ebanks. “As we celebrate the ESSENCE Festival’s 20th Anniversary with the best in curated-content, our partners connect directly to the community and align with its values.”
