The Compound Foundation and Grammy Award-Winning Recording Artist and Songwriter Ne-Yo Give Back this Holiday Season with the 7th Annual “Giving Tour”
Yesterday, my heart was filled with so much joy watching hundreds of happy little faces pick out their toys! I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing all the bikes, toys and games spread out across the room.
The Compound Foundation, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, proudly presented the 7th Annual “Giving Tour”, its proactive call to action to create awareness about the Foundation’s mission to assist youth in need and foster care children. The Annual “Giving Tour” occurred at Boys & Girls Clubs in each city, which began on December 2nd in Harlem, Los Angeles on December 3rd, Las Vegas on December 4th and concluded in Atlanta on December 5th.
Ne-Yo, Founder of The Compound Foundation, discussed the vital need for “Giving”, whether of time, efforts or gifts, this holiday season. “We are proud to have our sponsors: One Simple Wish, Monster, Together We Rise, Hasbro, Chick-Fil-A, Carol’s Daughter and Hubert’s Lemonade taking part in this charitable giving effort” he said. “The items we receive from these companies will lift the hearts and spirits of the children across this country. What greater reason to give, what greater reason to tour than to uplift those who need us most.”
Many local celebs came out to support including: Keisha Knight-Pulliam, NFL player Deon Grant, Bobby V, Nicole Lyons of NASCAR, Toya Wright, and Kandi Burruss of RHOA.
I was coming from another event and missed getting a shot of Mayor Kasim Reed 🙁 Here’s an instagram pic I “borrowed” from BEMagazine 🙂
