Words cannot express the impact Oprah’s “Life You Want Weekend Tour” has made on SO many lives. Atlanta was the first stop and the energy waves are STILL flowing! My experience was extra special because I was able to enjoy each moment with my twin sister and bestie Cassandra. 🙂
Oprah and her handpicked “life trailblazers” presented a show that taught us how to meditate, how to embrace the power within and how love ourselves and others. Attending O’ You in 2011 and 2014 #lifeYouWantTour has literally transformed my life. I am LIVING MY DREAMS and it’s ALL due to my heavenly father and his grace and mercy.
The first thing I’d like to mention is Oprah’s One Woman Show which kicked off on Friday night. She began with her Sunrise Ritual that said… “we are made of stars”. And then our wristbands started to light up making the entire arena look & feel like the night’s sky. It was truly amazing!!
Another key thing that Oprah mentioned is… “there is NO life without a spiritual life”. Yes, Oprah PREACHED!
On Saturday, we made our way back to the arena for a second day of enlightenment. Deepak Chopra led us into a 15 meditation that took me to a place I haven’t visited in a while. I’m ALWAYS on the go with little time to myself… mediation took back seat. As he began to speak.. my mind was still on the headache I caught earlier that morning. It was really hard for me to settle down but I wanted to try. He asked us to listen to our breathing and ask ourselves, “Who am I and what is my purpose?” I began to calm down & drifted into my heart & being. I am Robin Lori, I am Robin… to I am.
One after the other… Elizabeth Gilbert, Rob Bell and Iyanla Vanzant filled the arena with SOO much power and words of encouragement. Cassandra and my sis were in “tears of joy” the entire time! As usual… your truly wasn’t able to stay and rushed off to photograph an event (work). I also didn’t get the money shot (photographers dream picture) on this round… but was enlightened and empowered to continue my journey.
And as an added bonus… I captured the PERFECT “selfie” with Gayle King AGAIN!
Here we are in 2011 – I was working outdoors and didn’t care how horrible I looked. LOL!
…and 2014 we met AGAIN! Thanks so much Gayle 🙂
Enjoy the few pics I captured from my seat 🙂
