Red-Eyed Tree Frog

Red-eyed tree frogs like the one seen here on a freesia petal flash their bulging red eyes and reveal their orange feet when startled, a technique that may help to warn off predators. But it’s merely a bluff—despite their vivid coloration, the rain forest dwellers aren’t venomous.
