Today, Usher Raymond celebrated New Look Foundation’s sweet 16 at the “United to Ignite” Youth Empowerment awards luncheon. The gala was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta and Yours Truly was on the scene to capture a few pics of this wonderful effort. Awardees included rapper and friend Ludacris, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Michele Lai, founder of Kids 4 Kids and Elizabeth Williams, cofounder of Books IV Bonding.
The luncheon is an opportunity for New Look supporters and community influencers to come together, enjoy live music performances by the students, mingle with community influencers and recognize the award honorees whose efforts have transformed the lives of underserved young people around the globe.
“This organization has made an impact on thousands of youth worldwide,” said Usher Raymond IV. “Through mentorship and continued support, New Look empowers students to pursue their dreams. Today is about celebrating the accomplishments of our award winners who work tirelessly to improve their community, find their spark and make a difference. Without them, Usher’s New Look would not be the strong organization it is today.”
I covered the 2014 President’s Circle luncheon last year and it’s always a joy to be a part of something good for others. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay for the awards this year (had to run off to another photoshoot) but captured a few great pics from the event. Usher came out so fast… I didn’t even have time to adjust my camera. He posed with Ludacris & the Lt. Governor and was off the red carpet in seconds. LOL! Enjoy 🙂
