Last night, Yours Truly photographed the Atlanta premiere of season 2 of Esquire Network’s hit show, FRIDAY NIGHT TYKES, that took place at CineBistro at Town of Brookhaven.
In America, football is king and nowhere is football bigger than in Texas. With exclusive access to the 10–11 year-old division of the Texas Youth Football Association, this 10-part docuseries follows five teams on and off the field during the 2014 season. Throughout, coaches and parents offer insight into why they believe they’re teaching valuable lessons about discipline and dedication, but also grapple with serious questions about parenting, safety and at what price we’re pushing our kids to win. The first season of Friday Night Tykes cast a light on the intense Texas Youth Football Association, but the conversation’s just getting started. Friday Night Tykes season 2 will air on Esquire Network on January 20th, 2015 @ 9pm|8pm C.
The theater was packed with special invited guests including retired NFL players, Rennie Curran (Tennessee Titans), KD Dunn (New York Jets), James Mathis (Cleveland Browns) and Eric Matthews (Green Bay Packers), as well as the host of the evening and Former Atlanta Falcons player, Chuck Smith.
Immediately following the screening, attendees enjoyed a Q&A panel discussing youth in football hosted by Chuck Smith with panelists Rennie Curran, Former Tennessee Titans player and motivational speaker, Terry Shropshire, Atlanta Daily World National Correspondent, and Tony Davis, Commissioner of the Atlanta Youth Football League.
