In the Studio: Jermaine Hardsoul Video feat. Eric Roberson

Being in the studio with songwriter Jermaine Hardsoul and singer Eric Roberson brought back SO many memories of my own singing career back in the day !  I remember those LONG hours recording tracks in NY with my twin and many other artist including crooner Carl Thomas.

I was SUPER excited when I received the invite to come down and check out the video session.  Jermaine was SO sweet and warm…  Eric just came right to me and said, “I greet with hugs!”  Man I tell you… hearing Jermaine’s track & Eric’s vocals made my skin crawl.  This collaboration is AMAZING!  The song is so “dope” I wanted to lay a track or two.  LOL! It was such a thrill to see them in action.  Stay tuned for the release 🙂

We got a chance to talk about our studio experiences with Carl Thomas. I remember Carl back in the day in NY as we were ALL struggle artist trying to get a record deal.  Demo after demo…  He was ALWAYS professional and a stickler with his vocals.  It didn’t surprise me when Eric mentioned a technique Carl used to stretch his chest to expand the sound. Fascinating… Huh?
